"Spellcheck" Window

After a spellcheck is started (with the "Tools > Spellcheck File" menu item, the toolbar button, or the F7 key), the Spellcheck window appears every time a word is found that is not present in the spellchecking dictionary. The word is shown at the top of the spellcheck window, under which appears a list of alternative suggestions and a bank of buttons. All entries in the AutoWords list are assumed to be spelled correctly.

To correct the misspelled word, double click on any of the listed suggestions (or click once, then click the "Replace" button). If the desired correction is not shown in the list of suggestions, you can type the right word into the box at the top of the window and press <Return>.

Press "Ignore" to leave a word as it is, but to question subsequent instances of the same word.

Press "Ignore All" to skip all subsequent identical words, even in a separate spellcheck or a separate file.

RoughDraft also has a custom dictionary. To add a word to it, press the "Add to Dict" button. In future this word will be treated as if it is spelled correctly. The custom dictionary is stored in the RoughDraft folder of your computer as a plain text file called "Custom_Dict.txt". If you want to add or delete words manually, you can, but make sure that there is only one word per line and no blank lines.

If you want to abandon a spellcheck, click the "Stop" button.
